Capital Quest: Buenos Aires, Brasília, and the Road to Asunción
Most people say they want to "see the world."
I've decided to make that goal concrete.
My project is simple: visit the political capital of every country on Earth.
A finite mission. A measurable mission.
The first capital on the list was Buenos Aires. Walking through the city, seeing the political and cultural heart of Argentina, I unknowingly started a long-term journey.
The second was Brasília. As the capital of my own country, it reminded me that capitals are more than tourist destinations. They are centers of decision-making, symbols of national identity, and windows into how societies organize themselves.
Today, the next move is decided.
Asunción.
A quick flight, or Bus from Brazil, one of the most accessible capitals in South America, and another step forward in a project that may take years—or even decades—to complete.
This is not about collecting passport stamps.
It is about understanding nations through their centers of gravity.
One capital at a time.
Current score:
1. Buenos Aires 🇦🇷
2. Brasília 🇧🇷
3. Asunción 🇵🇾 (next)
192 capitals to go.
